Rhode Island employers can offset some of their training costs by obtaining state tax credits such as RI Jobs Training Tax Credit, RI Adult Education Tax Credit, RI Employers’ Apprenticeship Tax Credit and the Work Opportunity Tax Credit. These tax credits will allow you to trim your taxes while training your workforce.
Tax Credits
Rhode Island boasts some of the most aggressive employment and training tax credit programs in the nation. The Department of Labor and Training (DLT), working in conjunction with the Economic Development Corporation, the Governor's Workforce Board-RI, and the Division of Taxation offers many impressive credit programs.
Grants
The Governor’s Workforce Board Rhode Island (GWBRI) is pleased to announce that funding is available for the 2007 Comprehensive Workforce Training Grants to support competitiveness and growth of RI businesses.
